If you choose to cancel a title from distribution, here are some things to keep in mind:
- With your title(s) in distribution, it may take time for a retailer to remove the available status from their website.
- Many retailers may still keep your title(s) listed, but this does not mean they are available to purchase.
- If you have orders in process, those must clear out before we can cancel your title in full.
- We will delete your cover and interior files from our system and they will become inaccessible after 180 days.

If the title is returnable, booksellers have 180 days to return any unsold copies, and the author is responsible for the cost of those returns (the current wholesale price plus shipping/handling fees if applicable). 

Please note, cancellation and disabling distribution are different. Disabling distribution means you can still order author copies, or re-enable distribution at any time. Cancellation means that the files, metadata, and all corresponding information is deleted permanently.
